OUR MISSION
The mission of the National Association of the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.

On behalf of the entire membership of the Goldsboro -Wayne Branch NAACP, we welcome you to the oldest civil rights organization in our country and to our website.  

The Goldsboro/Wayne Branch was founded in 1945 by a small membership of dedicated Wayne County citizens that wanted to ensure that all persons were treated fairly and equally as stated in our Mission Statement.
